A sophisticated María Teresa is forced to take control of her father Esteban's ranch when he is arrested for fraud. María Teresa, used to a life of luxury and comfort, will butt heads constantly with the wild Santos Sandoval, the foreman of the her family's ranch "La Esperanza". As time goes by and through understanding, a love will be born between these two perpetually conflicting personalities, allowing María Teresa to see things from a fresh perspective whilst taming Santos' wild ways.
