The USA and Canadian men's national teams have both secured their spot in the 2023 CONCACAF Nations League that is set to be played on Monday 30th at the Allegiant stadium in La Vegas USA.
Canada were the first team to qualify for the finals after beating Panama 2-0 today early morning before USA joined them with a 3-0 win over their arch rivals Mexico.
Canada who are the reigning kings of the CONCACAF fist gained advantage of their match through Lille striker Jonathan David in the 25th minute before he then set up Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies in the 70th minute. David combined with Kamal Miller to score his 25th career goal in a match that he finished as Canada's man of the match.
Alphonso Davies made his comeback from injury and scored for Canada just eight minutes after being subbed on. Davies was subbed on in the 61st minute to make his first appearance since picking up an injury on April 22.
"It was an unbelievable game by the boys, we knew coming into this game we had to play hard and win and that what we did today, we are happy we've got the win and going to the final. We need to keep the same mentality and same energy as we move into the final." Alphonso Davies said after the win.
USA on the other hand did qualify for the final after a double from Chelsea striker Christian Pulisic and a goal from Ricardo Pepi. USA also received a blow going into the finals after defender Sergino Dest and Midfielder Weston McKennie were red carded. They will both not be available for the final.
