This year's TVyNovelas Awards is the 38th ceremony, celebrating shows produced by Televisa. The ceremony was scheduled for March 29 but was postponed due to health concerns in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The ceremony will now take place on October 31 with Omar Chaparro as the host.
Top telenovelas and cast on the list of nominations are currently airing shows Medicos and Single Dad.  Recently concluded, Laws of Love and Ringo also complete the nominations list. The four shows are nominated for best telenovela of the year. Ringo's Mariana Torres and Single Dad's Vanesa Guzman are nominated for best actress. Gabriel is nominated for best actor on Single Dad while Medicos' Gretell Valdez and Carlos de la Mota are nominated for best co-lead actress and actor respectively.
