Rebecca has been living her best life as the new shareholder of the Rivero Cuellar Company. She was able to become part of the company by taking advantage of Cristina's situation after she was arrested for the death of her husband, Mauricio.
Misael killed Mauricio after he threatened to expose that Misael was the person behind the fraud at the company. Mauricio asked for a huge sum of money in exchange for his silence but he ended up dead because Misael would not agree to it. Misael framed his aunt, Cristina, for the murder and she was imprisoned.
Rebecca was the one who alerted the police in order to get Cristina arrested. She later told Adolfo, Cristina's lawyer, that she would provide evidence to get Cristina freed in exchange for her shares in the company. Adolfo had no choice but to agree in order to get Cristina freed. But because of the deal she made, Rebecca has now become the main suspect in Mauricio's death.
Jose Emilio has been working hard to find evidence that Rebecca was involved in his father's death. He was finally able to find a witness who could identify Rebecca as the woman who ran over Mauricio in an accident he was involved in before his death. Is this the end for Rebecca? Will she go to prison?
