Urban Swaras, in partnership with Lake Victoria Islands and Shore Foundation (LAVISFO), Mfangano Island Widows Group, Dr. Raymond Omollo Widows Program, Homabay County, Citizen, KMTC, and the wonderful people of Mfangano, invite runners from around the world to experience the breathtaking trails of Mfangano Island!

Event Details:

📍 Location: Mfangano Island, Homabay County

🏃🏾‍♀️ Distances: 5 km, 10 km, 20 km (Loop Run) or the ultimate 33 km Ring Run around the island

🏁 Flag Off: 7:00 AM from Mfangano Airstrip, Sena Market

🚣🏾‍♂️ Terrain: One of the most scenic trail runs in Kenya

🩺 Medical Clinic & Support: A free medical clinic at Sena Hospital from 8 AM – 2 PM, conducted by KMTC for the local community. Medical assistance and run support will be provided by KMTC students.

Registration & Transport:

💰 Registration Fee: Ksh. 1,000 (Proceeds go to the Mfangano Widows Foundation)

Payment via MPESA to Urban Swaras (details in the registration form).

🚌 Group Transport from Nairobi: Ksh. 4,200 (Return)

Departure: 28th March 2025 – 5 AM from Shell Hurlingham

Return: 30th March 2025 – 9 AM from Mbita

Payment via MPESA to Shiwan Adventures (details in the registration form).

🚐 Courtesy Buses will be available to transport runners from hotels to the run village and back.

🚤 Water Buses for mainland runners depart at 5:30 AM on event day.
